MOBBTA helps to support the construction industry in it’s attempts to reach the top. It has been formed to ensure best practise is maintained when using building boards made from magnesium oxide and magnesium chloride.

MOBBTA works with insurers, warranty providers, and third-party verifiers to ensure comprehensive board criteria standards meet with wide approval across the industry.

The objectives are to be a central representative body to put the views of suppliers of magnesium oxide based boards to government departments and agencies, the European Commission and Parliament among other relevant organisations, also to be a research and statistical centre, to aggregate and publish statistics, and to provide analysis on the supply and use of magnesium oxide based boards.

They are working to establish a common benchmark which the UK Construction market can refer to in order to ensure the best use of these boards and safeguard fitness for purpose.

Mobbta have approved Euroform’s Versaliner (i.e completed the Entrance Criteria testing standards as outlined here. Such criteria were verified by independent consultancies, and as noted, by Approved 3rd Party Verifiers.

Note – As of early May 2020, there are a number of new Mobbta member applications being processed. This website section will be updated regularly to include all ratified members as the complete the process. For Service Classes 1, 2, 3 or as noted: Clause 2.3.1.3 EN 1995-1-1 (2004) Eurocode 5.
