About Chi-Pad
Chi-Pad is a patented (GB 2559905) component allowing rain screen installations to benefit from the low thermal conductivity values associated with aerogel insulants (synthetic amorphous silica) to reduce thermal bridging within the design.
Chi-Pad is easily attached to the rear face of the Helping Hand Bracket prior to installation on the facade. The Chi-Pad has a self adhesive strip with peel off release paper.
Features & Benefits
Chi-Pad:
- provides an enhanced thermal barrier between the external cladding and inner components of the assembly positioned closest to the building external wall
- offers superior thermal performance at reduced profile thickness compared to other insulation solutions
- is hydrophobic repelling liquid water
- is breathable allowing vapour to pass through helping to control corrosion under insulation
Applications
The Chi-Pad can be attached to Helping Hand Brackets to provide an enhanced thermal barrier.
